Posted Sunday, 09 August 2015 By Sanne
I write from Holland with the wish you could help me? Maybe you know the way for me to local businesses or agencies who can search for me?
I am searching for some people who knew my father during the war of independence (1945-1950). He was an soldier and military nurse at Dutch side, but he had many friendships with de locals. My father worked in different hospitals in Java. In Tjimahi: Looking for Daud, born 1927, married and this wife lived in Badjoetjatjar. In 1947 they had a baby. In Banjoemas: Looking for a Teachersfamily with six kids (4 girls and 2 boys). The oldest daughter is Elisabet Angkati Sri Soelekti (called Tati), born 1930. I believe my dad and Tati were lovers in 1947 … In Tjilatjap: Looking for Jan Soenarto en Soetinah Jan, Indo but raised by a Dutch family. Married and had two daugthers: Marie (born 1940) and Poppie (1945/1946). His wife had a sister who was married with a police officer. And she had an unmarried sister who was a traditional dancer, Soetinah. I’m looking especially fot Soetinah, because she was friends (lovers?) with my dad. In Solo: Looking for Baboe Hadisodono (young, married and had a little baby in 1949) and Baboe Mama (a little older, she worked for the Sultan of Solo before she became Baboe in the hospital in Solo). I hope you could lead me to the right persons, agency of business to help me find these people? I’m very thankfull, thank you. Greetings from Holland; sanneschrijft@hotmail.com |
